Itinerary of Vietnam Package tour

DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL – HALF-DAY CITY TOUR
  • Upon arrival at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport, you will be welcomed by our guide holding a sign with your name on it.
  • After approximately 50-minute to 1-hour transfer, you will be at your hotel for check-in.(check-in time 14h 00) Hanoi or “River-bound City” as its name means is Vietnam’s capital with a thousand-year-old history dating back to 1010.
  • The city’s fascinating beauty which is characterized by unique cultural relics, ancient streets of antique houses, elegant French colonial buildings, tree-lined boulevards and romantic lakes has made it one of the most charming cities of Asia.
  • The half-day city tour begins with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Complex and Ba Dinh Square, an important point of pilgrimage for many Vietnamese.
  • The area surrounding the complex is a traffic-free zone filled with botanical gardens, monuments, memorials and pagodas, and includes the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside), Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House, and the Presidential Palace. Travel back in time to the nearby simple cottage on stilts where Ho Chi Minh lived and worked during his humble beginnings as a revolutionary. Walk a few blocks out of the Ho Chi Minh Complex to the 11th-century Buddhist One Pillar Pagoda, an elegant construction rising from the centre of a square-shaped lotus pond on a solitary pillar. Continue to the Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam built in 1070 by the Ly Dynasty to honour Confucius, sages and outstanding Vietnamese scholars.
  • After visiting the temple you have a chance to take a walk around the Old Quarter and do shopping at Dong Xuan the whole sales market in the Old Quarter.
  • Overnight in Hanoi
DAY 2: HANOI – HA LONG OVERNIGHT ON BOAT BY SHUTTLE BUS
  • Following breakfast leave Hanoi for a 2.5-hour drive to Ha Long Bay including a 20-minute stop on the way.
  • Arrive at the jetty in Ha Long City towards noon and proceed with check-in formalities.
  • Be welcomed onboard and lunch will be served while cruising towards the bay itself.
  • In the afternoon, enjoy some visits and/or activities (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or just spend some time relaxing on board. Towards the end of the day, the boat sets anchor for the night among the karst formations. Dinner is served on board.
  • Overnight on the Ha Long cruise
DAY 3: HA LONG – HA NOI DEPARTURE – HO CHI MINH ARRIVAL
  • Enjoy the fresh morning in the middle of the bay, the sun rises on Ha Long in the morning and breakfast is served (brunch on some boats) while the vessels cruise slowly through the magnificent rock formations and back towards port.
  • Disembark and transfer back to Hanoi in the late afternoon, you will meet the guide and driver to transfer to the airport for Ho Chi Minh departure.
  • Arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, welcome by our guide and transfer to your hotel for check-in.
  • Ho Chi Minh City, formerly and still commonly known as Saigon, is the most populous city in Vietnam. Vibrating with energy and innovation, the city is the economic heart of Vietnam and the main hub of the southern region. As a cosmopolitan metropolis of the country, its dynamic cityscape combining the old and the new of Vietnam has made it one of the most attractive destinations for visitors.
  • Overnight at a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City
DAY 4:   FULL DAY CU CHI TUNNELS & TAY NINH
  • Morning, transfer to Tay Ninh province, 99 km Northwest of Ho Chi Minh City to visit the Great Temple also known as The Holy See Temple of a rare religion named Cao Dai native to the province.
  • Cao Dai was established in 1926 as a monotheistic religion with its name meaning “Way of the Highest Lord” and its symbol of the left eye standing for the Highest Lord’s clairvoyant power and wisdom. However, it incorporates some aspects of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and even Catholicism. The Great Temple, which was built in 1933, has a unique cross-architectural style akin to the religion’s blended nature. Lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Afternoon, transfer to Cu Chi, the northernmost suburban district of Ho Chi Minh City. Discover the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, which were once a major underground hideout and resistance base of Viet Cong forces during the two wars against the French and the Americans. The tunnels, entirely hand-dug, formed a highly intricate network of interlinked multilevel passageways at times stretched as far as the Cambodian border and totaling over 120 km in length.
  • Its complexity was beyond imagination containing meeting rooms, kitchens, wells, clinics, schools, depots, trenches and emergency exits all aimed for guerrilla warfare.
  • The tunnels were deep and strong enough to withstand destructive bombings and self-contained enough to outlast prolonged sieges.
  • Overnight at a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City
DAY 5: FULL DAY MEKONG DELTA (MY THO)
  • Morning, after breakfast, travel by road to the Mekong Delta, the world’s largest delta and Vietnam’s largest rice bowl.
  • On arrival in My Tho City, capital of Tieng Giang Provine, embark on a boat and navigate through intricate canals while observing the local daily life up close as well as the landscape of waterways and lush islands.
  • Land on the Unicorn Island to enjoy wandering through verdant orchards, tasting fresh fruits and listening to some Southern-style traditional music.
  • Move on to the second delta province, Ben Tre, where you will watch local villagers make coconut candy in a rural workshop, walk around briefly and try riding a horse-pulled carriage.
  • More cruising to some bee-keeping households to taste fresh homegrown honey and honey tea. Go back to Ho Chi Minh City and spend time at leisure.
  • Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh
